Who we are
LeGuilde is an online platform for independent artists to publish and sell their work, and for collectors and art enthusiasts to discover and purchase original art. The platform is operated by Christopher Rehm. Contact: car2187art@pm.me.
What data we collect
Artist accounts: When you register as an artist, we collect your name, email address, and the artwork and profile content you upload (images, descriptions, prices, and related metadata).
Gallery app users: When you register on the LeGuilde Gallery app, we collect your email address and any preferences or saved items associated with your account.
Enquiries: If you send a message to an artist via the platform, we collect your name and email address in order to forward your message. This data is not shared with third parties beyond the artist you contacted.
Social media connections: If you connect a social media account (Threads, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to LeGuilde, we store an access token issued by that platform. This token is encrypted at rest and used solely to post content on your behalf. We do not access your social media messages, contacts, or any data beyond what is needed to publish posts.
Cookies and tracking
LeGuilde uses Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool, to measure aggregate traffic on our public pages — it sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track you across sites. The admin and gallery applications use a session cookie solely to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or share data with advertising networks.
How we use your data
We use your data to operate the platform: to display your artwork publicly, to allow collectors to contact you, and to enable social media posting where you have requested it. We do not sell your data to third parties and do not use it for advertising.
Hosting and storage
LeGuilde is hosted on servers within the European Union. Your data, including uploaded images, is stored on EU-based infrastructure. Your IP address may be processed by the hosting provider in the course of serving requests, in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see below). Social media access tokens are deleted immediately if you disconnect the platform in your settings.
Your rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at car2187art@pm.me. To delete your account directly, see the account deletion page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
