On the Canal in Utrecht
About this work
This is one of my early paintings in Europe and one of my favorites, I started it on location at Cafe Anderson, in the basement, looking out the window and finished it in the studio at home. If you go there you can probably find the seat I was sitting in when I did the painting. I think it captures that scene in Utrecht very well. This is framed, final size is 31 cm by 25 cm.
